Things to see and do in Felixstowe and the county of Suffolk whilst staying at the Grafton Guest House B and B
With traditional sea front attractions such as the pier and arcades, sea front gardens and adventure golf there is plenty here to keep you entertained.
Felixstowe
Felixstowe is on the east coast of England at the southern end of the county of Suffolk. It is an Edwardian seaside town with a bustling town centre and a good range of activities and attractions for all ages. The Grafton guest house b and b, is ideally situated to be able to explore all of these. If you would like any information on these before your stay, please contact us.
Town Centre
Just over half a mile north of the Grafton is the town centre where there is a good selection of big names stores along with many independent shops.
Felixstowe Pier
North of the guest house, along the sea front promanade is the Felixstowe Pier with its amusements arcade, casino, ten pin bowing, café, fish and chip shop and ice cream parlour.
Ocean Boulevard Fun Park
Just in front of The Grafton is the Ocean Boulevard Fun Park, an ideal attraction for younger children.
Felixstowe Sea Front Gardens
Further north along the seafront from the pier are the Felixstowe Sea Front Gardens (approx 1 mile on foot from The Grafton) which are well worth a visit.
Felixstowe Cinema
Just under a mile form the guest house in the town centre is the Felixstowe Cinema, you can see what’s showing and book tickets here.
Felixstowe Beaches
Stretching from Felixtowe Ferry to Languard, there are four miles of sand/shingle beaches.
The Spa Pavilion
Sitting in the Seafront Gardens, the Spa Pavilion has a year round programme of shows and entertainment for all ages.
Felixstowe Lawn Tennis Club
The Felixstowe lawn tennis club is approximately a 1 mile walk from The Grafton Guest House, it is just a little further on from the Sea Front Gardens.
Some of the other attractions in and around Felixtsowe worth visiting whilst staying at the Grafton Guest House, range from; Forum Amusements, Manning’s, Adventure Golf and Martello Park to more sedate site seeing activities such as; Felixstowe Ferry, a fishing and sailing hamlet to the north of the town, Landguard Fort to the south. There is also the Felixstowe Museum which brings alive the military and social history of the town and the Nature Reserve with viewing area.
Beyond Felixstowe
There is so much to do in the local area outside of Felixtowe, Sufflok, which include, site seeing, walking. bird watching, golf, sailing and windsurfing. Here are just a few of these:
